My Story

I am an East Lothian based glass artist and gallerist.   After a brief career in the performing arts, I studied glass at Edinburgh College of Art.  London called and I spent many happy years exhibiting my collections through the Apple Market, Covent Garden and various trade and retail shows.  After tiring of big city living, I returned to Scotland with my husband Simon, and settled by the seaside in Dunbar.  Our move prompted a change in lifestyle, a period of artistic development, a dog, a gallery, and a baby!

We opened the doors to the Found gallery in June 2011.   Alongside my own fused glass jewellery and photographic glass panels we are showcasing a range of work from the many UK makers we have come to know.  Ceramics, jewellery, art, sculpture, print work, textiles, cards and gifts make up the eclectic mix that we show.  Our aim is to present an ever changing, quirky mix of pieces to surprise and delight.

I now juggle my own making with the gallery and family life.  It's lots of fun, sometimes chaotic, and my 'to do' list is never done.  Living in Sunny Dunny is however a constant source of energy and inspiration.  With views like these I wouldn't swap it for a 'real' job!

To see what I've been up to lately follow my Sketchbook Journal and follow me on Facebook.
